There will be occasional guests (Mikkel Beckmen on the 12th and Kelley Smith on the 19th) and\, if the spring weather is inviting\, the music will move out to the deck. This is a “pass the hat” event\, a minimum of $6 a person is requested.\nMike Munson (Winona\, MN) is a renowned guitarist with an unmistakable sound. His prolific catalogue of original songs blends elements of indie folk\, roots\, jazz and improvised music. He has warmed the stage for legends like Mavis Staples\, traveled the country with Grammy nominee Jimmy “Duck” Holmes and been invited to perform at multiple international festivals. Munson’s long career as a solo touring musician has garnered a devoted fan base and a reputable place within the bustling Minnesota music scene.\nMunson’s song-writing leaves much to interpretation while his voicing on the guitar is distinctly recognizable after decades of pursuit of the perfect tone. He has been mentioned in reputable publications including Smithsonian\, Guitar Player and No Depression. His recordings are in regular rotation at both urban and rural radio stations throughout the region. You should watch the band try to explain it in its most simplest way. By listening to the music and thumbing through the story you’ll discover one of the most beautiful efforts whispered into song in these times while finding what’s good and holding care for the world we live in. It has been a bit of a destiny for Wes Urbaniak to bring his music through these instruments out into the world and then again back to Red Rocks…

DESCRIPTION:All are welcome from beginner to champ. It’s friendly. Break away from just playing your dog and have some fun in the process. Winner receives a $10 gift card and bragging rights. Throw in $2 to be part of a progressive pot. First person to play a perfect hand takes it. If no one has a perfect hand by May 14\, we’ll have a tournament on May 21 for all who played and threw into this pot. First place wins 50% of the pot\, second place 30% and 3rd place 20%. Plan to play a minimum of three games. Folks with highest number of points (1st and 2nd) play off to reveal a winner.
