SUMMARY:Marques Morel & Simon Cropp
DESCRIPTION:On THE first Singer/Songwriter Sunday of 2026\, Marques Morel plays his own music in a special duo with Simon Cropp.About Marques:Marques Morel is an American songwriter\, storyteller\, midwesterner\, folksinger\, guitar-thumper\, harmonica wailer\, street performer\, wandering troubadour\, steadfast woodcutter\, migrant worker\, a father\, a son\, and a friend to all.No Depression has stated that his music is“…delivered from the heart\, dusty and roadworn\, but undaunted.” And on the topic of his songs\, Americana Highways maintains that “These cigars are handrolled\, not machine-made.”About Simon:Simon Cropp is a flatpick guitarist and country and bluegrass songwriter. His performance style is equal parts dive bar bravado and fireside introspection. Simon’s songwriting style is plainspoken storytelling\, channeling classic country themes of love\, heartbreak\, and the landscapes he travels through. Note: He’s equally comfortable on pedal steel guitar\, electric guitar\, and bass.Simon has had the chance to share the stage with songwriting inspirations in The Last Revel\, Possessed by Paul James\, Margo Cilker\, Clay Street Unit\, and Joseph Huber. The hat will be passed. We ask for a minimum of $6 per adult listener. All money collected goes to the artists. Your support of live music is greatly appreciated.

SUMMARY:Jeffrey Foucault & Dave Moore - Part II
DESCRIPTION:After selling out their ‘Listening Session’ in a matter of days\, Dave and Jeffrey graciously agreed to play the next night. So\, Thursday December 4th we’ll do it again\, but snuggled in on the all-season porch.Finishing up his 2025 tours across the United States and Europe\, Jeffrey Foucault (“invokes the silent watches of the night in pre-electronic American consciousness” — New York Times) returns to the Trempealeau Hotel December (12/4) for an intimate split-bill with legendary Iowa songwriter Dave Moore. In two decades on the road\, Foucault — who grew up in Whitewater\, WI — has become one of the most distinctive voices in American music\, refining a sound instantly recognizable for its simplicity and emotional power. With a string of critically acclaimed studio albums – “Stark\, literate songs that are as wide open as the landscape of his native Midwest” (The New Yorker)\, “Beat-up troubadour folk whittled to dolorous perfection” (Uncut)\, “Songwriting Brilliance\,” (Irish Times) – he’s built a brick-and-mortar international touring career and a devoted following that includes hard-to-please luminaries like Van Dyke Parks\, Greil Marcus\, and Don Henley (“Jeffrey Foucault clocks American culture about as good as I’ve heard anyone clock it”).Dave Moore represents a uniquely rich seam in the tapestry of roots music coming out of Iowa in the twentieth century. A celebrated rack-harp and button accordion player\, as a youngster Dave absorbed the blues recordings of Sonny Boy Williamson and Little Walter\, learned to play country-blues guitar\, and then disappeared on a series of extended pilgrimages to Texas and south of the border to study Tejano and Conjunto accordion with legends Fred Zimmerle\, and Santiago Jimenez Sr. (father of Flaco and Santiago).Eventually Dave Moore brought what he’d learned back north\, mixing it with country and blues\, folk and Gospel\, Ragtime and Tin Pan Alley\, and releasing three seminal albums on Red House Records\, in addition to playing regularly with Greg Brown\, and influencing the generation of Midwestern songwriters that includes Foucault\, Pieta Brown\, Erik Koskinen\, The Pines\, and many others. ‘Dave is pure magic’.-Jeffrey Foucault\nOn December 4th\, we host Jeffrey Foucault and Dave Moore in an intimate night of songs and stories. SUMMARY:Clay Fulton Hosts Thanksgiving Eve
DESCRIPTION:Happy Friendsgiving!! This is going to be a great night out.Clay Fulton is a singer-songwriter from Rochester\, Minnesota. His debut album When Trouble Comes has been a long time coming. Songs like “Walls Of St. Paul” and “When Trouble Comes” were written while studying at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul\, Minnesota before coming home to help run the family restaurant. While buried in the business that is owning a restaurant\, he found time to play live music and create songs like “Down On Broadway” that tell of the late nights that follow a long day of work\, and the winding down that takes place afterwards. Using the peaceful vessel of a long drive\, Clay gracefully takes us through his journey showcasing the importance of family and relationships in his more recent songs “Show Me State” and “Call My Bluff”. Clay has a knack for writing clever and simple lines that are both approachable and memorable. We experience that first hand in the song “28 Days”. This album takes us back to the great American folk singers of yesteryear with a modern indie-pop twist; think John Prine meets Dawes. When Trouble Comes balances smart story-telling with serious but playful musical arrangements to support them. Clay definitely wants you to feel the angst\, frustration and grit of the ups and downs of love and life\, all while leaving you with a sign of hope. He’s on the road solo while the ‘Lost 40’ band are getting ready for a busy outdoor concert season.$5 or more cover per listener with all money collected going directly to the artist. Hugs and kisses!PS David S will be behind the bar!

SUMMARY:Brothers Burn Mountain
DESCRIPTION:The Brothers Burn Mountain are a soulful\, energetic\, eclectic duo of brothers\, Ryan and Jesse Dermody. They’ve been playing music together everyday for more than 20 years. They’ve released 10 full-length albums of original music\, and have toured across the country over the years\, though especially in the Midwest\, having played more than 2\,000 live shows. Their sound is a roiling melting pot of so many musical influences\, that it’s hard to describe\, except as energetic and eclectic; with afro-cuban rhythms\, Zappa-esque spontanaeity\, grittiness\, bluesyness\, tenderness\, and a singer-songwriter\, folky flair. The Brothers have built their own off-the-grid studio! Built from all recycled materials\, Diarmada Studios is nestled in the deep woods.Regarding their album The Dark Exchange“(Blue Spruce is) uplifting and transcendent\, a bliss-out. It’s like something from another time altogether…” -The Duluth Reader“The Brothers Burn Mountain sound like Honeyboy Edwards\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Jimmy Page and Jack White thrown into a high-speed blender that elicits a blues-based brew that explodes like a nail-filled pipe bomb.” -John Ziegler\, The Duluth News Tribune“The new songs (on When You Crave a Sweetness) sound wonderful.” -Robert Bly\, Minnesota’s first poet laureate\, winner of the National Book Award\, and close friend of Tomas Transtromer\, the Swedish poet who won the 2011 Nobel Prize in Literature.“This new vinyll (‘A Thread Through the Night’) is just amazing!!” -Rich Mattson\, renowned musician and producer at Sparta Sound Studios in Sparta\, MN“Great album!” -KAXE 91.7fm Northern Community Radio.“The Brothers Burn Mountain lay down a driving\, psychedelic\, and very personal take on the blues. It’s all original music with a roiling mix of influences…from South American rhythms to free wheeling jazz to Howlin’ Wolf staring down midnight to Frank Zappa’s guitar explorations.” -Jeffrey Jones\, program director/music director Park Theater & WOJB-fm 88.9\, Hayward WIThe BandRyan Dermody: vocals\, electric guitar\, acoustic guitar\, bass guitar\, piano\, percussion\, wordsJesse Dermody: drums\, words\, percussionShow will take place indoors. SUMMARY:Quenten Brown
DESCRIPTION:James “Mudkat” Grant began listening to rock n roll\, classical\, and country music at an early age. He joined his first band in high school after seeing the Beatles on TV\, extending it through college years playing hundreds and hundreds of gigs. Having the opportunity to open for the Flying Burrito Brothers in May\, 1970\, changed their repertoire and musical direction. The band\, now called North Country\, moved to Denver\, where they opened for the comedian Steve Martin\, but within a year the band had broken up\, so Grant moved into doing solo work with vocal\, guitar and harmonica.Recording his first CD in ’95\, “Not the Only World”\, which was nominated for a Minnesota Music Award\, James continued writing and performing in the upper midwest with occasional forays with other musicians. “This Town”\, an EP\, with This Town\, the title cut\, Southern View\, Distant Light\, and Something New\, was recorded in 2013\, with other songs waiting for studio production.James Grant has been heavily influenced in his writing style by Sting\, Neil Young\, Dylan\, James Taylor and others\, along with environmental and social justice issues. His passion for writing and performing\, with guitar and vocal study\, has continued to this day. This very early member of the Organic Music Cooperative delivers reflective originals and digs deep for obscure tracks that need to be shared and brought back to life.$5 cover per adult listener gives you three hours of fantastic music!

SUMMARY:Kelley & Kelly
DESCRIPTION:Kelly HuntThe daughter of an opera singer and a saxophonist\, Hunt was raised in Memphis\, TN amidst a motley mélange of musical influences ranging from Rachmaninov to Joni Mitchell to Mississippi John Hurt. Her debut album\, Even The Sparrow\, was released in May 2019 and was nominated for the International Folk Music Awards “2019 Album of The Year.” Her sophomore album\, Ozark Symphony\, was released in 2023. “Kelly Hunt sings with the lilting cadence of a folksinger born somewhere far away\, sometime long ago.” – Robert Crawford [Rolling Stone]\nKelley SmithMinnesota songwriter Kelley Smith is a wallflower who fancies old poetry and grandpa sweaters. All at once whimsical and haunting\, Smith delivers deeply affecting lyrics with wry charm and a time traveler’s voice. Prone to melancholy and daydreaming\, Kelley spent her childhood roaming the woods of the north country. To this day\, her longing for that landscape runs deep and seems to find its way into her songs in one way or another. ”In its truest form\, folk music requires us to slow down\, listen closely\, and let ourselves be absorbed by stories that take us to another place and time. These organic and unvarnished songs reflect life experiences that could as easily come from past lives as they could from Kelley’s soul.” – David Dennison\, Rieder Homestead Concerts\nWe ask for a minimum of $6 per adult listener. All proceeds go to the artists.

SUMMARY:JJ Slater
DESCRIPTION:Usually when folks describe JJ Slater’s music\, words relate back to nature\, the outdoors\, the warm sun and the cool breeze. His UMASS Amherst psych-rock band Humble Digs was a mainstay at Stockbridge School of Agriculture events\, and ten years later tours are often routed with ulterior\, National Park-related motives.\nBased in New England\, he has toured much of the US\, playing festivals\, basements\, and club gigs\, at times opening for artists like Kat Wright\, NRBQ\, Johnny A\, and David Wax Museum. In 2022\, he completed a residency at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation\, where he wrote his new record “The Silver Key”. It was recorded with a Mass Cultural Council grant in 2023\, released at the end of 2024\, and you’ll find him touring and playing the full record in 2025. He’ll also be touring with his Americana-Blues road-dog project Signature Dish\, co-fronting the band with partner Lexi Weege and lending his songs to a dynamic\, soul-journey set.\nIn between rock bands\, funk jams\, and jazz brunches\, JJ’s guitar playing is always centered and relentlessly rhythmic\, with lead work that quotes both gutsy blues and celestial jazz. His songwriting is playful\, with an ability to write a catchy hook and chorus\, but take you down a minute-long rabbit hole with a wink and a grin- all with a soft\, smoky approach to singing that recalls a burn ride with an old friend.See you Sunday! Show will be outside\, weather permitting.Enjoy the show and some nourishment in a cozy atmosphere. We ask for a minimum $6 contribution to the musician per adult listener. Please give generously. SUMMARY:Dylan Doyle
DESCRIPTION:Dylan Doyle’s “Endlessly” Evokes Old-School\, Guitar-Driven R&B as the First Single Off His Forthcoming Album\nDeep grooves and longing lyrics define Doyle’s latest single.\nNEW PALTZ\, NY — Singer-songwriter Dylan Doyle is excited to announce his new album\, “Another Shade of Blue.” his fourth independent EP\, is out now.\nOver the years\, Doyle’s sound has been known to range from fiery blues rock to vibrant funk with Americana roots woven through his musical tapestry. However\, “Endlessly” is decidedly deeper as an R&B-infused single that showcases slower\, more intentional guitarwork and vocal stylings that range from unapologetically righteous to powerfully vulnerable.\n“‘Endlessly’ is about reminiscing on the feeling of falling in love early in a relationship that’s been worn down over time; looking back at better days with fondness\, while searching for hope and meaning in the present. It aligns with the theme of the album\, which has this thread of melancholic reflection that ties together eight songs with different moods and melodies\,” he says.\nAlthough you’ll hear elements of classic rock\, roots\, funk\, soul\, and pop throughout the album’s diverse tracklist\, “Endlessly” stands out with its mellow groove that evokes a nostalgic mood that we’ve all likely felt—but instead of dwelling on that longing feeling of a love-gone-sour\, it makes the listener want to pull closer the good things they’ve got.\nHear it now!\nFor more than a decade\, Doyle’s music has centered around passion-driven live shows that keep dance floors packed. He’s been a common name on the tri-state area music scene since he was a teen\, clocking in 200+ shows a year and earning the respect of musicians like Bill Payne (LIttle Feat) and Jimmy Vivino (Conan O’Brian Show) who would usually remark on his talent exceeding the expectations of his age.\nHowever\, now at age 28\, Doyle has proven that his skill isn’t just a flash in the pan\, it’s growth-driven\, backed by the stories that define entire chapters of the experiential life he’s lived as a full-time touring performer. All of this is present in his new album.Admission is $7 (or more) per adult listener. All money collected goes to the artist.
