| $5Loosey Stone is a string and vocal band that intricately weaves harmonies and stories into a rich tapestry of sound. Rooted in the soul of the Driftless Wisconsin area, this indie-folk quartet enchants audiences with their original compositions, close family harmonies and diverse instrumentation on guitar, mandolin, stand-up/bowed bass and the occasional hammered dulcimer. Rose Bruce (singer-songwriter) and Christina Dollhausen (singer-songwriter, The Iowans), draw inspiration from their separate life experiences, yet their songs blend seamlessly when united within the band, as if destined to be friends. With Rose and Christina trading lead vocals, seasoned multi-instrumentalists Dave Bruce (Freaks of Nature) and Adrian Hudson (Shook the Trees, Bathtub Springs, Freaks of Nature) add layers of beauty, harmony, and depth to the Loosey Stone soundscape.
