The Brothers Burn Mountain, real-life brothers Jesse and Ryan Dermody, built a recording studio deep in the Minnesota woods years ago. They’ve tried to capture the sound of the howling north wind, warm spring rain and evening crickets ever since. The guitar-drum duo has logged close to 2,000 shows in 22 years of performing. Their 11th full-length album, The Thrill and the Flame, was released in July and is described by the brothers as “our ode to resilience, our mantra to joy, our attempt at describing brief encounters with the divine in each of us.”
