TREMPEALEAU, WI — Award-winning Portland, Maine singer-songwriter Connor Garvey brings his music to The Historic Trempealeau Hotel on Thursday, October 1 at 6 PM, as part of a four-show swing through Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Known for combining the lyrical depth of a songwriter with the warmth and spontaneity of an entertainer, Garvey has spent years building a national following one room at a time.

His songwriting has earned some of the folk world’s most respected honors, including wins at the Kerrville New Folk Competition and Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase, along with the Wildflower Festival Singer-Songwriter Competition and SolarFest Singer-Songwriter Showcase.

Garvey’s songs explore relationships, parenthood, community, hope and the complicated business of trying to live intentionally. His rhythmic acoustic guitar style, memorable melodies and sandy tenor have drawn comparisons to Paul Simon and Josh Ritter, but it is Garvey’s relationship with an audience that has become a hallmark of his performances.

The Trempealeau Hotel, with the Mississippi River as the backdrop for its long-running tradition of presenting local, national and international artists, makes a fitting stop for a songwriter whose concerts thrive on a sense of place and connection.

Connor Garvey is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Portland, Maine.
