Join local readers for a night out close to home. It’s the third SFA of the season. We’d like to welcome and thank Meghan, the ‘new’ library director at The Trempealeau Library for putting this
together, choosing the topics and readers. Our very own Ty Webster will be your host. The theme “Celebrating Books: Banned or Not” advocates for the freedom to read. By celebrating both banned and widely accepted books, this theme encourages open dialogue about censorship, the value of storytelling, and the role of literature in society. It invites readers to reflect on the power of books to inspire change and promote understanding.
Up to six readers choose an excerpt related to the theme to read out loud for approximately 10 minutes. Get exposed to some new reads or maybe an old favorite needs revisiting. We ask for quiet during the readings, but you do not need to raise your hand to take a beverage or bathroom break. Come celebrate literacy!
